A two-bedroom 71 m<sup>2</sup> Moscow apartment with a walk-in dressing room

We designed this interior for a family with a child. The client wanted to have a lot of storage space for clothes and to provide a utility unit with a washer and dryer.

We took care of the realization of this interior and controlled all deliveries, work and materials. The clients did not have an opportunity to invite us to photograph the apartment, so here is the interior as we presented it to the clients when we finalized the design project.

The kitchen is designed in light colors, just like the rest of the apartment. Dark elements make it more graphic: the cabinets are equipped with American walnut veneer fronts, black handles, a track light that comes right from the front door, and a backsplash made of Colorker ceramic granite imitating Chinese marble. The texture of the backsplash matches the onyx porcelain tile on the floor just perfectly.

We removed the door between the kitchen and the hallway to make the latter lighter and more spacious.

The column cabinets are at an angle to the countertop: it gets the person using it some additional storage and leaves more room to cook. The worktop is made of white quartz preventing any visible scratches or marks from hot objects.

We decided to not equip the balcony with any heating. Our team produced a cushioned drawer-based seat for it and brightened it with a light fixture, so it would be cozier to sit there on summer evenings.

We moved the door to the guest bathroom to the right so it could accommodate a shower.

The guest bathroom has a vanity unit with a small sink. One can store things behind the mirror and over the wall-hung toilet system.

The white furniture in the dressing room matches the color of the walls but has tinted glass fronts and lighting. It makes the walk-in closet look deeper and more vibrant.

One of the fronts in the walk-in closet is mirrored. The handles are thin and long to be not conspicuous.

The children's bedroom is divided into two zones due to the use of different materials. The entrance is decorated with oak wall panels and facades, while the desk area has light furniture and porcelain stoneware with the texture of Cottodesto Terazzo.

We put a large hanging desk right by the window. The area for the electronic piano is done out with wall panels and several shelves.

There is a big closet that even houses the printer and a large mirror with additional lighting.

In the bathroom, we stowed the washing machine and dryer in a column cabinet. Its depth was increased so that the clients could leave the machine doors ajar for airing. Behind the fronts, there is also room for additional storage.

During the construction phase, we made a video about this bathroom and talked in detail about each of our solutions.

To save some space, we didn't build a partition wall between the parents' bedroom and the walk-in dressing room. They are separated simply by closets. The entrance to the bedroom was moved to the kitchen to save storage space in the dressing zone.

The hanging dressing table is mounted on concealed brackets. A movable light fixture can be pointed at the table or at the bed. Above the headboard, there is special LED lighting which highlights the texture of Italon porcelain stoneware.

We were able to make the interior of this small apartment light, not overloaded with details. Taking all the client’s wishes into account, we redesigned and redecorated the rooms to make living in this place even more comfortable.
